Big on ride feel, compact in size We created G Line to be the best one-bike solution for the city and beyond, and then we made it a Brompton. It rides like a full-sized bike, yet it transforms into a compact package that stores and travels easily. So you can go anywhere. The most capable Brompton ever Rigorously tested over 250,000 km, first to meet industry standards, then to meet ours, G Line goes where others can’t. Now, you can confidently tackle everything from dusty single track to rain-soaked cobbles. Built tough with disc brake stopping power, this bike does it all with ease. What we think... The Brompton Electric G Line takes the traditional Brompton experience, known for its portability and practicality, and adds an element of "fun and adventure" by making it more suitable for off-road riding. Here are the key changes that the G Line brings: Larger Tires: Unlike the typical 16-inch tires found on traditional Bromptons, the G Line has 20-inch Schwalbe G-One tires, making it suitable for "muddy forest paths" and other off-road terrains. All-Terrain Capability: The G Line is described as a "big-wheel, folding, all-terrain gravel bike," which is a significant shift from the usual on-road focus of Brompton bikes. Fun Factor: The source emphasizes that the G Line transforms the Brompton experience by making it genuinely enjoyable to ride, even describing it as "impressively capable" and "adrenaline fuelled" . Despite these changes, it's important to note that the G Line retains the fundamental characteristics of a Brompton bike: Foldability: It "still folds to a third of its size", making it just as easy to transport on public transportation. Recognizable Design: The G Line is "still unmistakably a Brompton" in its design although the a longer wheelbase add so much stability it can be ridden with no hands (although we wouldn’t recommend it…of course).
